SeptaCaps™ are a Fast Simple way to Secure Tubes While Reducing Contamination and Evaporation

Overview

Securing tubes in laboratory bottles presents some challenges. The tubes need to stay in the bottle and not jiggle loose. At the same time it’s important that contaminants stay out of the bottle and that liquids don’t evaporate from within. Traditional methods use ported, screw-in caps with airtight tubing connections. These ported caps block contamination and evaporation, but it takes time to screw in the tubes, and to unscrew them later. Another approach is to dispense with caps altogether, poke the tubes into the bottle and wrap everything up with stretchy film. The wrap-with-film method requires artistry on the part of the user and the film often leaves gaps, particularly if tubes have been removed or added. Bits of film can fall into the bottle along with other air-borne contaminants.

Solution

Argento Scientific's SeptaCaps streamlines operations by providing a quick and reliable method to secure tubing in bottles. SeptaCaps eliminates the need for cap adjustments and the use of makeshift film wraps, which can be inconsistent and may inadvertently introduce particulates into the bottle.
